Brian is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who enjoys helping people of all ages with their Orthopaedic problems.

His specialty is in Hip and Knee conditions and he treats patients, along with their families, from the newest baby with Hip dysplasia(DDH) to schoolkids with Perthes disease and through to adults with hip arthritis; often due to many of these childhood conditions.

Brian can also help patients with sports-related knee conditions such as ACL ruptures and Patella instability, especially in adolescents. His other interests include paediatric Foot and Ankle conditions; as well as Obstetric Brachial Plexus Palsies that have long term implications for patients and their families.

His combined Paediatric and Adult practice gives Brian comprehensive insights into the evolution of many Orthopaedic conditions, and the opportunity to use specialised techniques to alter the course of a condition and optimise the health and well-being of the patient, whatever their age.

Brian studied Medicine at Melbourne University, also completing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at the MCRI. During his training, he worked in hospitals all over Victoria and was awarded Fellowships of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) in 2015.

Brian then embarked on post-Fellowship training in Paediatric Orthopaedics at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids, Toronto) in Canada followed by a Fellowship in Adult reconstructive hip surgery at The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIE), Scotland.
Brian continues to pursue research and academic interests, with investigations into infant/toddler hip dysplasia, chondral fixation, meniscal repairs and bone biology.

He has been an invited speaker for the British Society for Children’s Orthopaedic Society (BSCOS), the Korean Orthopaedic Society (KOA), the Asia-Pacific Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (APPOS) and for the Victorian AOA. He is currently a registrar training supervisor for the AOA.

Brian spent his early years in Malaysia before growing up in Melbourne where he continues to live. He is married with 2 gorgeous kids and enjoys his weekend football, bike rides and playing Lego with the kids in his spare time.
